I'm sure they never thought this picture of them from nearly 70 years ago would end up in a second-hand store and be labeled "vintage." At the time, they were simply capturing their life at the time.

I have known for a really long time that there are toxic things in my life that I have not gotten rid of. Some of those are visual: my lack of regular exercise, my indulgence in junk food because of convenience, my lack of self-discipline when it comes to my sleep schedule. Meanwhile, some of the toxic things in my life are not so visual: my addiction to social media, the anger I carry for members of my close family, my lack of reading leading to a deterioration of my reading

God spoke to me tonight at Compassion Christian Church. He showed me a metaphor of His love. He showed me my role in the Kingdom and in His Family. Tonight I went and listened to a sermon with a friend. He preached on Matthew 6 & anxiety. I was tired towards the middle of the sermon, so I was looking for anything to keep me awake. Like always, my eyes wandered around the room, trying to engage them in this night to listen to the sermon that I already felt would touch my heart
