Completed for FIBR 170: Textile Structures - Project 2: Multiple Element Constructions

For this project, we were taught how to weave & coil using different methods & techniques. I got to bring out my old woven wall hangings phase from elementary school and realized I was so much better at it back then, and I dislike traditional weaving just as much today as I did then, but I love experimenting with non-traditional techniques & mediums.

My fourth piece was inspired by some pictures I saw on Pinterest of a Viktor & Rolf runway from 2016. Putting a pair of jeans underneath a domestic sewing machine was not my favorite thing to do, but I loved how it turned out. I used a pair of jeans from the thrift store & all scrap fabrics for the weavings throughout the denim.
