You may think that my sweatshirts go to waste once I cut out the motif in the center, but this serves as proof of the opposite. This sweatshirt originally had a super cool design dedicated to the state of Georgia in the center that I cut for another project, and once I cut it out, I used this sweatshirt to create a new piece for Georgia Southern Univerity. On the front, I used the sleeve of a t-shirt for the pennant flag, cotton fabric scraps, a cotton ribbon bow sewn flat, a granny square made from scrap acrylic yarn, and a few other t-shirts to include a fish motif and the phrase "GATA."
