Paisley Patriot "MAHA" Sweatshirt
Inspired by Alex Clark, her Culture Apothecary podcast, and the MAHA movement led by RFK, Jr., this sweatshirt is meant to resonate with the stay at home moms who serve as "helicopter moms" and watch over every single thing their child consumes. This is for the girls in college who struggle with eating habits and have recently realized how horrible the food is that the powers at be encourage us to eat. This is for the girls who had health scares and want to take back control over their lives.
All materials used in this sweatshirt are sustainably sourced & 100% recycled. The fringe patch towards the bottom is made from linen yarn & woven on a Dobby weaving loom. The pennant flag background uses an old Ralph Lauren floral fitted bed sheet. The ribbon near the top is a screen printed patch made by myself. The flower stem above the pennant flag comes from a hand-me-down t-shirt from a friend and the granny square beneath the pennant flag is crocheted using embroidery floss. And finally, the blue quilt square motif and the girl with a gardener's hat is cut from antique fabric.
"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." - 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20
